A native of New Rochelle, N.Y., Fran resides in Nashville, TN with her husband Jack. Together they have four children and eight grandchildren. She is retired from Catholic Charities of Tennessee and the Visitation Hospital Foundation. Over the years, she has served in various ministries both in the diocese of Nashville and in her own parish community. She holds a master’s degree in pastoral studies from Loyola University, New Orleans, and an undergraduate degree in communications with a minor in theology from Marymount Manhattan College, New York City.
Fran serves as President of the Board of Trustees for Visitation Hospital Foundation ( VHF), based in Nashville, TN, where she has served in carious capacities for the past 21 years. She is donating 50% of the proceeds of her book to VHF through April 2023.
The organization has built and continues to operate an outpatient medical center in Petite Rivière de Nippes in southwest Haiti. It will construct a surgical center on the same campus later this year. Funding is received for construction but a campaign to raise additional funds for equipment and staffing is underway.
